It's been another great year - topped off with a fantastic day!
Today was my birthday.
I slept late and had quality Sarah time. Lunch was just the girls then I had a TWO HOUR NAP!
Sarah went to the sitters and Andy took me out for a great dinner to one of my favorite places, we hadn't been there in years! Add a spa gift certificate, lots of cards and wellwishes from the family and friends to top it all off and it was a perfect day!
I hope YOU can have a great day in your near future.
:)
Playing with my 4 year old daughter, scrapping, cooking and selling Tupperware = that is my life!

Silly, fun things.
Part of the joy of being a Mom, is the job or research. There are really a lot of neat things to do put there with a toddler, if you simply dig thru the pile of websites, read the local papers and look at the newsletters of the different organizations you belong to.
This past week was Fat Tuesday, the Mardi Gras celebration before Lent starts. Our church had a celebration for families; dinner, crafts and more. We went.
The dinner had traditional items like red beans and rice, pancakes and more -- all quiet tasty! The kiddos got Mardi Gras inspired beads without having to "earn" them in the traditional way, could have their face painted and then, got to make a huge variety of crafts when they were done eating.
Sarah chose to make a mask, cropn and shaker -- you can see 2 out of the 3 here.
It was a frugal, fun night - often one of the best ways to create the kind of memories that you want your kiddos to look back on someday.
I challenge YOU to find something fun that you can do, as a family, this coming week. It's one of the best investments you can really make!
:)
